Success Stories

“I’m forever grateful how committed KDDS has been.”

“Hello my name is Mrs.Thompson. My experience as a parent of The Kings Daughter Day School has been great! I have 3 children. My oldest graduated from KDDS. I now have a daughter that will be graduating this coming June and I’ll be a continuing parent also in September 2021.
I continue to return back with each child because the staff is awesome and the teachers are the best! KDDS has helped my girls. I see growth in them socially, verbally and in so many more areas. Also this school year had been virtual teaching although it’s not perfect circumstances but the virtual experience has also been great. My daughter teachers make their students still feel as if they are inside of the building. They make sure the students have all their supplies they need at home.
Every student gets a turn to talk and share things. They also sing songs, dance, and learn new things just as if they were in person. I’m forever grateful how committed KDDS has been. KDDS for all you do and for all you are Thank You.”

“The staff at the day school was there with me every step of the way.”

“Here's My Story. When Frederick was 2 we joined the KDDS Family Preschool program. It was really a wonderful and new experience for him and our family.

As he entered into pre k Frederick was diagnosed with Autism. Had it not been for the staff and family support of the day school along with me Being open minded to listen I probably would have not notice the changes that was going on with him.

The Staff at the day school was there with me every step of the way. Guiding me to the right supporting centers and giving me the information needed in order to advocate for him.

Once leaving the Day school I was very afraid for him Not knowing what to expect with him going into a new environment Was a challenge. Even still The Day School remained a stable support system for Us. Allowing us be help bring awareness to others about Autism became a passion for me. Advocating for him and other children changed our lives.

Presently Frederick is now 10 and attending a General Education class full time. He loves the Day school its his second home. Throughout the years it hasn't always been easy. Having a village at Kings Daughter's has been my blessing our family's blessing.”

“I cannot find all the words to explain just how grateful I am for the staff here.”

“As the parent of scholar who has attended KDDS since she was 2yrs of age and is now 5; I cannot find all the words to explain just how grateful I am for the staff here and for all they do for my little one as well as my family.

She came to KDDS knowing the basics (alphabet, colors, shapes, etc) but to see the tremendous growth that has taken place over the years; it is remarkable. She is not even in Kindergarten yet, but she is reading, doing basic math, and has even gained knowledge on who created the traffic light, just to name a few.

As we come up on her last few months at KDDS as she will be moving on to Kindergarten, again, I cannot thank KDDS enough. It is my indeed pleasure to have my child here and to all you parents looking for a place to send your precious baby boy or girl; KDDS is it!!”

“Our daughter is now five and has flourished in the care of our wonderful day school.”

“The King's Daughters Day School (KDDS) means the world to us! As newcomers to New Jersey from out of state without any extended family or friends, my husband and I knew we would need to find the right care for our then two year old daughter. We needed to be sure to find a center and preschool that not only fit our basic safety, health and nurture ideals, but a center that would align with our educational ideals and provide us with a support system to help our family succeed. We turned to the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) to find an accredited preschool in our area. We made a list of all the qualities we were looking for in a center and viewed and toured more than a dozen accredited preschools; conducting staff interviews, checking certifications and licenses and analyzing our own gut instincts. The moment we walked into KDDS' building, we were blown away by the safe, multi-level facility, the content, happy children, the welcoming, knowledgeable staff, and the fact that  every item on our list was addressed!

It wasn't long before we decided that KDDS would be our daughter's center. We learned about KDDS' music program, their library, the children's daily activities, the large nature-friendly playgrounds and fleet of tricycles, the natural light and windows in every classroom, the building's covered screen porches for kids to play in the fresh air on rainy days when playground play is not feasible and even the loving kitchen crew who prepare healthy, fresh food for meals and snacks!

We were amazed to learn that clean linens for sleeping cots were provided to every child and laundered onsite; that KDDS owns its own school bus to collect older children from their schools for an after-school program available to older children and enrolled preschoolers, and that the nurse's office maintains student medical records and even assists with recommendations for local healthcare providers. The center also hosts impressive health programs coordinated with the community such as visiting dentists, flu shots and during the pandemic, Covid-19 testing events.

Apart from meeting children's physical health and safety needs, KDDS employs a diverse group of compassionate and formidable teachers and teachers' assistants who love their work and their students. The student teacher ratio is well within state requirements and the High Scope curriculum used by the center creates structure for kids to depend on while fostering learning in an inclusive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for young children's social, intellectual and emotional growth through play. Teachers meet with parents periodically to discuss children's progress and it is extremely rewarding to watch the kids taking pride in their accomplishments. Our daughter is now five and has flourished in the care of our wonderful day school. Any child would be lucky to call The King's Daughters Day School their own!”

“They go above and beyond to help the kids and their parents in the time of need.”

“I wanted to speak about the incredible work the family workers and teachers do for the kids at KDDS.  They go above and beyond to help the kids and their parents in the time of need.

My kids are examples of the great work they do.  They wake up eager to go to school and that speaks highly of the staff.

Thank you for your great work!”
